How to Live a stress-free life

Stress really has a big impact on our health. It happens to everyone at some point and in a variety of ways. In fact, difficult situations are all around us and can be difficult to avoid. That's why it’s so important to learn how we can manage or even get rid of the things that make us stressed.

This may seem like a lot at first, so take each section in stride. Pick out one area that is the most meaningful to you right now and commit to making some changes today. As you gain momentum and start creating new habits, move on to the next area.

Keep in mind, you are creating a new lifestyle. This process takes time. Slow down and enjoy knowing you are on your way to less-stress living.

4 Pillars of Stress-free living

Pillar #1 Inner

  • Focus on controlling what you can.

  • Create a life filled with intention and purpose

Pillar #2 Interpersonal

  • Set your mind on giving, not getting.

  • Be generous with your time, your money, your unique skills and abilities.

  • Create Core Communities

  • Heal past traumas. Learn forgiveness.

Pillar #3 Behavioral

  • Manage your time and energy by identifying Vampires and outlining your ideal day

  • Combat a hurried mind with quiet time, journaling and meditation

  • Avoid unhealthy habits (smoking/vaping, alcohol, excessive caffeine) and replace them with healthy ones (movement, hydration, sleep and whole-foods diet).

  • Support your HPA Axis with specific nutrients and  herbs

  • Work with an integrative health practitioner to identify and treat stress imbalances

Pillar #4 External

  • Create a pleasing home and work environment by clearing out clutter & redecorating

  • Avoid sensory overload in the form of loud noises, bright lights and excess work

  • Get outside every day

  • Work to correct toxin exposure from both indoor and outdoor sources
